When Geoff Stretch had to attend the orthopaedic hospital at Oswestry, he was so impressed he decided to raise some money to support the facilities there. Some of the hospital's patients made him a beautiful wooden rocking horse and that is now being raffled off in the village.

Geoff and Olive sold many of the raffle tickets at Saturday night's very successful showing of the film Atonement in the Public Hall but would like to sell many more. Other Audlem residents have been treated at the specialist hospital over the years so this may be a very popular appeal. And the rocking horse would make a superb present for any young child.
