Roadworks on Sunday

According to a prominent yellow notice opposite the Co-op, Shropshire Street (the A525) will be closed tomorrow (Sunday) between 8am and 4pm.

If this means what it says, then the village will be literally cut in half, and the nearest way to get from East to West or vice versa will be via the Green Lane, Bagley Lane, Kettle Lane and Bagley Lane.

The duration of the closure seems uncertain – while the yellow notice in Shropshire Street says the closure will be from 8am to 4pm, the original notice from Cheshire East received by the Parish Council stated 8am to 10am as the period.
