Road Closures this week

Ed: It would seem as though Nantwich may be surrounded by roadworks approaching from the the Audlem direction this week Take care.

According to the Cheshire East information map, the A529 to Nantwich will be closed at the junction just before Brine Leas School from February 15th, possibly until the 23rd (i.e. all this week).

So it would seem that the best way into Nantwich will be to turn off the A529 along First Dig Lane and then left onto the A51 for a mile or so and then turn right at the traffic lights and then left onto the road over the level crossing and into the Town. Even then you are likely to encounter one or two roadwork lights near Cheerbrooks.

The other option is to go up Coole Lane, but beware – the map shows that on Wednesday February 19th, Coole Lane will also be closed for the day. And to add to the issues, a reader reports that the notice set up on Coole Lane actually says that it will be closed on the 17th (i.e. today, Monday).
