RNLI Awards Evening

Crewe, Nantwich & South Cheshire RNLI Branch held an Awards Evening at Audlem Scout & Guide Hall on Sunday 13th November 2016 attended by some 76 volunteers, including their partners.

During the evening Rodney Cottrell, RNLI Branch Chairman, had the pleasure of giving to 39 of those present Awards in recognition of their commitment to the cause of raising funds for the life saving role of the RNLI.

Amongst those receiving Awards were the original members of the Audlem Lass Boat Service who continue to give their unstinting support to this aspect of RNLI fund raising.

A presentation of £2,000 was also made during the evening, by Campbell Ward, Chairman of The Audlem Lass Boat Service, to Douglas Bates Branch Treasurer of the RNLI, as monies raised during the 2016 Season. This brings the total donated to the RNLI by The Audlem Lass Boat Service since its inception in 2010 to £13,000.

The evening was rounded off with refreshments and the showing of the film recorded at the recent RNLI Festival Weekend held at Overwater Marina on the 3rd and 4th September.
