With all the news about the amazing landing on the comet last week, an interview that Ritchie Kay, who was brought up in Audlem and has been involved in the project, may be of interest.
Rictchie is one of the control team guiding Rosetta. He works in the ESA headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany. From Audlem school he progressed through Brine Leas and the South Cheshire College to Birmingham University and then, for his PhD, he went to Strathclyde University in Glasgow. He worked in the Space Division of Logica in Germany before joining the control team.
As soon as AudlemOnline carried the story about Ritchie's role, BBC Radio Stoke were on seeking an interview with him and spoke to him in Germany where the European Space Agency is based.
You can now hear that interview by clicking on the Archive section from the Homepage. It is one of the most recent postings in this now massive Archive which is worth checking out regularly as new material is being loaded regularly.
