Ringing news

The following report was received today from Ruth Kemble on behalf of Audlem bellringers:

"The bells rang twice today – in the morning for the joint service for

Remembrance Day and again at 4pm to ring across sunset. "The bells were half muffled which is traditional for solemn occasions. You may have heard them half muffled on November 1st for the Joint Churches Memorial Service. It has become an Audlem tradition to ring on the afternoon of Remembrance Day – "At the going down of the sun and in the morning.""
