We've received the following message fro Lisa who is hoping that she may be able to find photos of family members who were local residents in Audlem in the early part of the last century:
I am hoping someone could help me. I am currently researching my family history and it appears my grandfather and his family resided in the Audlem area.
On the census it lists the property as Bridge House, Swanbach, Audlem, Cheshire.
My Great Grandfather John Purcell was listed as a grocer.
I am looking for any photographs that may exist around 1911 when the census was taken.
Two amazing facts that I have found is both my Great Uncles enlisted in the great war with one mentioned on your memorial – Pvt John Henry Purcell.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Ed – Our picture is taken from the Audlem archive website and seems to indicate that Purcells were around the area then.
