Record day yesterday

Excuse a little self-promotion but yesterday was the busiest day yet on Audlem Online since the website started last August. We had record numbers of visitors, possibly helped by many people being marooned at home and having a little more time than normal to explore the website. What probably clinched it was the support of a snowman (see yesterday's story 'It was only a matter of time!'), possibly the first time any service has been promoted in this way.

For those relatively new to Audlem Online, you can navigate around the site by clicking on any bold headings, such as the 'Articles' or 'Parish Council', or the news stories to the right. The navigation bar at the top will lead you to masses of local information. Click on 'Information' to find local businesses, clubs, societies and much more. 'The Village' will take you to Audlem's history, population growth, wildlife, aerial and other photos via the Gallery, even local recipes. There is also a mapping system to help get you to anywhere in the country. 'Visiting Audlem' has lots of information about activities, places of interest, walks and nearby attractions.

You can seach for news stories by clicking on 'News' and then putting a key word in the news 'Search' box, or for other information try the 'Search' box in the top right hand corner. Don't worry about 'Login' – that's just for the webteam that writes the stories.

'Links' takes you to a wide range of local websites, including Audlem school's new website, while you can find a wide range of views on local issues in 'Forum' or messages from people, both local and from around the world, in the 'Guestbook'.

For our regulars, apologies for all the above but we hope you like the Spring redesign that probably helped engulf the village in winter weather!
