When everyone is smiling, it must be going well.
And yesterday, everyone, without exception, was smiling as they enjoyed some exceptional music and entertainment throughout the village.
After a dull start, the weather brightened up to a lovely sunny afternoon – possibly helped by a national BBC weatherman spotted amongst the crowds! The result – a brilliant weekend with possibly the largest crowds ever at an Audlem Festival.
Festival founder, Paul Moran, was back in the village and marvelled at the way his initial concept had developed. He must be a very proud man to see all those smiling faces.
The web team would like to write more but after a day of sheer enjoyment, and the odd drink or three in our village hostelries – without their hosting none of this would be possible – the spirit is not completely willing.
More today – loads of music and art, plus the Carnival! Click on the Festival Homepage banner or here for full details.
And please excuse the top photo – we couldn't resist making a webteam member the focus of our attention on keyboards at a fabulous set from Alive 'n Kicking.
