Rare defeat for Audlem Saints U9s

We have received the following match report from David Parry:

"Sunday's game was another very tight one, this time against Cougars. Audlem seemed a little disorganised in the first period and conceded a sloppy goal from a corner. They battled back though and could have levelled with a bit more luck in front of goal. The game was real end to end stuff. Cougars defended extremely well and with Audlem pressing for the equaliser, they broke away to add a second goal. Audlem bounced back to score a well worked goal to keep the game in reach.

"The last period saw a good few chances for both sides but without any further goals. The 2-1 defeat was Audlem's first one in 7 games and was a useful reminder that even Champions lose games sometimes!!"
