A group of 11 Audlem Ramblers enjoyed a challenging walk starting at Chirk Castle on Saturday, led by Kate Down.
The walk was just over 9 miles with about 2,000ft of ascent (and descent!).
The average age was certainly over 60 – and mostly over 70!
The promised views were limited by low cloud/mist, but fortunately there was no precipitation until we returned to Chirk.
We arrived back in the village in time for a short de-brief at the Shroppie – caught the end of the live music – and home in time to light the fire and watch the rugby!
