Manchester-based indie band favourites The Rainband are the headline act next month as FatPigeonLive kicks off a new season of live music in Audlem. The show is to be filmed for their upcoming Facebook live shows beginning mid-March.

And joining The Rainband for this music session are rising folk stars The Trials of Cato, from North Wales, and Shropshire-based soulful singer Nikki Rous.

Indie favourites The Rainband are a huge name on Manchester's music scene The band boasts UK and European tours and support slots with legendary acts such as Simple Minds and The Kaiser Chiefs.

The Trials of Cato is a newly formed folk band that is fast making its mark on the UK music scene. The trio met while working in Beirut and quickly filled some of the Lebanese city's leading music venues.

Since returning to the UK, their feet have barely touched the ground as they are booked up at music venues across the country. We are delighted they have found time to appear in Audlem.

Singer Nikki Rous made her stage debut in theatre, discovered the acoustic guitar, switched career, and has never looked back. Soaking up the musical colours of artists as varied as Joni Mitchell and Jimi Hendrix Nikki performs regularly at music festivals and club venues across the UK.

FatPigeonLive concerts are the brainchild of a bunch of Audlem music lovers. Bands are recorded live, the sessions are streamed to the internet and also recorded on video.

Audlem Public Hall is packed with cameras, microphones, lights and the audience gets to be part of the show, mingling with the performers and enjoying some great live music.

Ticket are just £10 (just £4 for students), there is a full stocked bar and breaks between sets. It's a night of some of the best live music to be found in the North West but a limited ticket event so book early by email at tickets@fatpigeonlive.com to be sure of a place.
