Rain does not stop play

It may have poured down for all of the afternoon yesterday, but rain definitely did not stop play.

Large crowds turned out at the three outdoor stages to enjoy an amazing range of music while evening, when the rain had stopped as the music moved inside, saw packed pubs too.

Our photo (kindly sent by Frank Morris) shows Heidi Browne attracting a packed crowd (second photo) at the Lord Combermere where she managed to lighten up the day. The marquee was packed, as you can see.

Let's hope for better weather today as another outdoor stage comes into action, Blues Alley. All will be looking for a few rays of sunshine. And, of course, more great music.
