After a month of drought, many will have welcomed yesterday's rain. Unfortunately, it has been reported that the rainstorm overloaded the sewer across The Green near the Old Grammar School and caused some of the contents to come up from the manhole there. The manhole covers in Shropshire Street were also under severe pressure. It just goes to show the weather can never get it in balance – it never rains but it pours!
