Renowned guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick and local celebrity Billy Gibbons will be live on Cat FM today, a local radio station broadcasting to Crewe and Nantwich on 87.7FM. It is unclear whether the interview will include a live performance of the rockabilly music which Jim and Billy have been playing recently.

The term rockabilly is a portmanteau of rock (from rock 'n' roll) and hillbilly, the latter a reference to the country music (often called hillbilly music in the 1940s and 1950s) that contributed strongly to the style's development. Jim and Billy along with Heavy Weather rhythm section Neil 'Kegsy' McCallum and Ian Rowley have been delighting audiences with this under-represented musical style.

The interview is at 4:00pm today and is part of another month of broadcasting by Cat Radio. Tune in on 87.7FM or listen online at: www.thisisthecat.com
