(The website link that was here no longer works) The Shroppie Fly quiz season ended last night with the traditional Grand Charity Night, in which thirteen teams took part. At the end of a thoroughly entertaining night, the winners were Ridge Rabble, with Four Play second and NSPCC third.
Quiz inquisitor, Tony Lynch has now completed his third season as host. He was, as always, ably supported by his young assistant, Irene.
The night itself raised about £230, much of which came from the raffle for prizes which had been donated by the teams themselves.
Overall, the season of quizzes raised over £450 which will be passed on to this year's named charity, the Audlem Medical & Nursing Trust Fund.
