Quiz Nights take off

I am very pleased to say that the Tuesday Quiz Nights at the Lord Combermere have indeed taken off – far better than I had hoped for. We even reached 14 teams the other night.

The Lord Combermere is doing an excellent and much appreciated job in proving a virtual welter of good food as the free supper.

This month I will be hosting a special night on the 22nd in support of the Donna Louise Hospice for those very sad children.

All the proceeds on the night will go to this very worthwhile cause for which May Hunter and her daughter Christine put in so much work. They will also hold a raffle of good prizes on the night and I do hope that you will be pleased to support this cause.

Other good causes will follow thorough the year. Kind regards to all from your quizmaster.
