Pulsating game for Saints

A pulsating game with Alsager for the Audlem Saints U10s soccer team this week – they eventually won 5-4.

The first half of the game was real end to end stuff with both sides leading at one point or another and the scores tied at 3-3. Audlem were playing some super football but Alsager refused to give in and the game was a credit to the two teams.

In the final period though, Audlem asserted. Pressure on the goalkeeper led to a loose ball and a tap in to nudge 4-3 in front then a good team goal stretched the lead. Alsager hit back one last time but it wasn't enough and Audlem ran out the very relieved and exhausted 5-4 winners!

The win keeps Audlem in 2nd place in the league, one point behind the leaders Bocca who are next weeks opponents.
