There were performances to remember at the Lord Combermere last night. Twin Frets packed the pub out and the calls for more and more music kept the night going. "We came here three years ago: it was brilliant; two years ago it was as good but tonight is something different. Fantastic," said Vernon Fuller, the singing Fret!. "Every now and then, you have a night that's really special" he added. "This is one!"

A visitor from Durham, a return Festival fan too after coming to Audlem for the first time last year, said it was worth hours on the motorway for Twin Frets alone!

Michael & Val Warner, mother and son duo, had equal success. Last year was Michael's Festival debut. Now with great confidence, and a clear love of Oasis, it was a gig that had the audience enthralled.

The Bridge was packed as the Diamond Geezer had them dancing. Yes, all the Neil Diamond classics were belted out, but other favourites lit up a hot Audlem night as Sweet Caroline and others danced the night away.
