Public Hall Clock Working !

Just a message about the poem about the WI clock in the town hall.

It has not, as the writer notes, been working for a while. The mechanism was sent away some time ago for repair, without success.

It was replaced, by coincidence, today (3rd May 2026) at precisely 12.00am with a simple battery operated clock mechanism and is now, for the first time in a while , showing the correct time! The original electric powered clock has been retained for posterity should anyone out there wish to fix it.
