Several local residents have been in touch with Audlem Online to say how pleased they are to see delivery vans to the new Co-op driving under the arch and making their deliveries via the courtyard, as envisaged when the development was first proposed and agreed by the planners.

As regular readers will know, there has been considerable discussion at Parish Council meetings and elsewhere, including on Audlem Online, about the traffic issues that arise when a delivery is made from outside the front of the shop, so blocking Shropshire Street if cars are parked across the road.

The Co-op is clearly as good as its word when their regional manager Paul Dickinson told a concerned resident a short time ago that the problem would be addressed and deliveries would be made using the archway.
