ADAPTability is coming up on Saturday 2nd October and will be open from 10.00am – 3.00pm at the Methodist Church Hall

This is a message from the ADAPT Food Group: ADAPT's 'Adaptability' event is drawing closer! We will be running a produce stall and we are appealing for items for our produce stall.

Items required: Cakes, Biscuits (wrapped), any fresh produce, (veg, fruit, flowers, herbs (cut or potted), jams, preserves but no alcohol!

Please bring any items to the Methodist Church Hall on Friday, 1st October from 7.30 – 8-30pm or on Saturday from 9.30am.

Also, Gill Lowe is running a book stall and any books or magazines related to sustainability and transition would be gratefully received by her at 12 Telford Way or bring to the Methodist Church Hall as above. Thank you.

Our aims in the Food Group are to increase the amount of food produced locally and encourage more use of seasonal and locally produced food.

We have been discussing the possibility of a 'Garden Share' scheme, by which we can link people who may have a spare piece of land on which they would be willing for someone else to cultivate and grow vegetables with people who would be interested in doing so.

I am compiling a database of people in both categories so if you are interested either as a grower or a lender please put your name on our list at the event or contact me: jane@day-star-theatre.co.uk">jane@day-star-theatre.co.uk or telephone 01270 811330 with details.

Thanks.
