Audlem Online has been told many Coxbank residents are delighted that the hard work of a local campaigner may be about to pay off.
Long-standing Coxbank resident Barbara Hopkins organised a petition asking for support for a speed limit in the area and, in particular, at the junctions with the A529 at Swanbach which most drivers leaving Coxbank have to negotiate.
Local Cheshire East councillor Rachel Bailey spoke with Barbara at an Audlem Parish Council meeting and, as regular readers will know, it was announced at this month's Parish Council meeting that the Swanbach speed limit is now seen as a priority project.
As a Coxbank resident told Audlem Online, it's good to see that "ladies of a certain age" are still prepared to fight for local causes – and, hopefully, make a real difference for their community.
