Pothole situation improves

To my delight and amazement, Cheshire East have responded with astonishing speed to my latest list of the dreadful potholes.

I must have now reported around 50 individual potholes in total, and last week, the holes were filled in under 24 hours. These include the sequence of holes on Woore road, the ones down the hill on Whitchurch Road, plus the many others all around the village and on the roads towards Stapeley and Burleydam.

On Friday, of course, they were resurfacing Paddock lane, at long last.

I have sent well over 40 emails now, and the authority are to be commended for reacting to these fairly serious road defects with such quick response times. We shouldn't get too carried away with joy though, as the quality of some of these repairs can best be described as "temporary" at best, but at least we have some respite from constant dentist visits to replace our fillings.
