Pothole Courtesy

Further to our recent articles about potholes and the failure of Cheshire East to acknowledge liability, a local resident recently contacted us about his more responsive experience when reporting serious potholes on Woodhouse Lane / Kettle Lane.

On contacting Cheshire East Highways ( Tel: 0300 1235500) to report potholes which would cause damage to cars travelling along these roads a pleasant representative responded, took the details and promised the Highways department would be informed urgently.

When the local resident suggested that passing places for cars / tractors should be constructed on these lanes, it was suggested that the correct route for taking this up with the Highways Dept was first via Audlem Parish Council.

We will await to hear what progress can be made on this.
