Post Office in Audlem

Despite representations from the Parish Council and our MP, Antoinette Sandbach, the promised temporary Postmaster is still not in place and the sorting office staff are still having to work from Crewe.

Audlem Parish Council wrote again to Post Office Ltd and Royal Mail after the last Parish Council meeting but has had no detailed response from either.

As a result, Councillors have written again to our MP, Antoinette Sandbach to ask her to intervene and hope to gain support from Audlem's ward councillor, and Cheshire East Council Leader, Rachel Bailey as well.

It is vital that some action to resume services is swiftly taken as the closure of the A529 to Market Drayton from late July will make the situation even worse.
