Playing Field Update – Work Due to Start

Ralph Warburton sends us this encouraging message about improvements in the maintenance of the Playing Field.

Playing Field field Surface Improvement

Following our serious complaints about the condition of the playing field and particularly the football pitch area last July, a meeting was held with Stuart Barber of Cheshire East.

The poor condition of the field was agreed and a promise made that remedial work would be undertaken following the end of the football playing season.Ralph has informed Cheshire East that Audlem FC's season ends 9th April and would be available until the 28th May for ground maintenance..
Laura Ault, of Ansa Environmental Services has now confirmed that the relevant ground maintenance teams have been informed and work should start soon.

We have since heard from Ralph that the work should start today 12th April

Playing Field Lease Update

At the Audlem Parish Council meeting last Monday Cllr Seddon informed the Council that the relevant paperwork should be with the CE Portfolio Holder within the next two weeks when it will then reviewed by the Legal Team.

Meanwhile a meeting is to be called in the near future of the Parish Council Playing Field Management Group to review and prepare tenders for the ongoing maintenance of the Playing Field and Play Area etc.
