Planning documents being prepared for public consultation

The Planning Working Group on the Audlem Parish Plan has been working over the past two years to produce two important documents that describe the village and its surrounding countryside in detail. These will published as a Village Design Statement and Landscape Character Assessment towards the end of this year.

The documents have been drafted and are now being discussed in detail by the Working Group led by Greville Watts. All the members of the group live in Audlem and volunteered to work on this project when the Parish Plan was published in late 2005. The documents will include recommendations on Audlem's built environment for the future which will hopefully help any future planning decisions by local government.

Before the documents are finalised, they will be put forward for public consultation so that Audlem residents can study them and raise any issues they feel should be taken into account. Consultation is planned to take place in September through public meetings. More on this over the coming months.
