Photographic exhibition next month

Simon Cotter, who has provided many of his Audlem photographs for Audlem Online, writes: "To celebrate its 60th Anniversary this year, Crewe Photographic Society is holding an exhibition at the Lyceum Theatre, Crewe of over 50 stunning prints produced by its members. On display will be a fabulous array of colour and black and white prints, including the winning entries from the 5-Towns Monochrome Print Competition when for the second year running we beat off stiff competition from Alsager, Nantwich, Sandbach and Whitchurch! Entry is free to the exhibition which is being displayed in the foyer at the Lyceum Theatre during September and October 2007.

"Crewe Photographic Society is a friendly and helpful society open to all ages and abilities. We were awarded a Lottery Grant in 2003 which we've used to equip the club with a laptop, scanner and digital projector so that we can help their members and the community embrace the digital revolution and traditional film photography is also still very much alive and kicking.

"New members are always welcome and we meet at Crewe Library at 7:45 pm every Thursday from September to May. Our new season starts on Thursday 13th September and the first evening is a member's Open Evening which is a great, relaxed way to find out more about the society.
