We thought our World Affairs correspondent was on his way to cover the current crisis when he said he would be flying over to Ukraine.

After all, with seemingly half the BBC's news team there, why not one AudlemOnline correspondent! What he really did say, we have now discovered, was he would be flying over Ukraine on his way to Australia via Hong Kong.

Luckily, he has managed to email back home a plug for this Saturday's film at the Public Hall saying: "On the way over, one of the films on the plane was "Philomena" – an absorbing film, superb performances from Judi Dench and Steve Coogan. Definitely a three-hanky job and well worth seeing."

He admitted also that he was currently sitting on a beach near Bondi, saying: "This job is hell, but someone has to do it". His expenses claim will be examined very closely on his return.

Philomena is on at 7.30pm on Saturday in the Public Hall. Tickets are just £5 in advance at Williams' newsagents or the Post Office or on the night at the door. Sounds a good one and not to be missed.
