Pet Portraits

My background is really in ceramics, I worked as a member of the Design Team for Moorcroft Pottery for several years, a role I greatly enjoyed. Very creative and colourful!

However I have always loved ink drawing....its very disciplined and focused, I just seem to have come back to the things loved when I first began my obsession with drawing as a child. i would spend hours drawing animals and birds. meticulously trying to copy the textures of fur and feathers!

A few years ago I was living in Cox Bank when my beautiful young cat Oreo was tragically killed on a farm track.

I missed him so much I decided to draw him from one of my favourite photographs.

Family saw it, and asked me to draw for them, then friends of family...and so it went.

I feel very proud to have been asked by so many people if I would create a portrait of their beloved furry or feathery babies. And I love to see photos of the framed pieces in pride of place in the family homes.

Its a special thing to be able to do this service for people.
