Cuts in Council grants  I read with great interest in last weekend's Observer that some 38% of towns and cities are abandoning the dressing up for the Festive season. Major places all dark and miserable as they cut the council grants. Just as they did to us.

We in ADAS carry out all the work and cost of making this village the very best in Cheshire and perhaps even wider. Said with all humility for I do believe this to be true.  Just look at Nantwich and Crewe to get a view on this statement. And Market Drayton .

#ADAS funding
We received no grant from the Cheshire East. We get a small help from our Parish Council but the major finance comes from you, the residents, in the form of your subs and collections  – and the great response from the local traders who came up trumps.

I hope as many as possible will support our shops by using them and that you will respond to our call for funds once again in the New Year when we will launch our very new form of membership/donation envelope.

Thank you all.

Ralph Warburton. Vice Chairman ADAS .
