Last week we published a plea from the western end of the village about the path up to the village ending by Copthorne Drive. It was, our correspondent said, in a well and truly dangerous state due to the heavy amount of foliage and overhanging hedges making it a near impossibilty to walk up to the village. As a result of the story, Parish Councillor Andrew Smith provided a contact number and the Highways Department have now started work on clearing the path. Our correspondent has contacted Audlem Online to say thank you to Andrew.
