Update on Party on the Park

ASET, organisers of the Audlem Party on the Park, has taken the precautionary decision to cancel the fireworks finale this year. With both the firing field and surrounding fields, bushes and trees being 'tinder dry' the risk of fire is considered too great.

An ASET spokesperson says "Whilst the fireworks are a fitting end to the Party on the Park, the risk of fire this year is too great, the two bands are the main attraction of the event and we hope that all ticketholders appreciate and understand the decision that has been taken"

Now in its 19th year, the Party on the Park is a 'not to be missed' event in the Audlem social calendar. The weather forecast for this Saturday is currently non-stop sunshine and 28 degrees. ASET wants everyone to have a great time, but advises the following:

Smokers should please smoke on the car park and ensure that cigarettes are put out fully and placed into the bins provided

Lots of water and suncream is advisable

And finally, a note on the football, many people will be watching the England game before arriving at Party on the Park, please drink responsibly and ASET advises that any anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated, this is a family event, organised by a small team with the aim of making Audlem a vibrant place.

Let's all enjoy the music, sunshine, company of friends and family and COME ON ENGLAND!
