The subject of road safety concerns in Longhill Lane was brought up during the public part of the Audlem Parish Council meeting last Monday evening (and, we understand, at the Hankelow meeting which was happening concurrently).
A statement about these concerns was read out by spokespersons for the residents of the Lane (you can read the statement by clicking on the link below the picture). In both cases a discussion followed and a vote in full from both Parish councils to support taking the problem forward to the appropriate highways departments.
Also attached is the text of the letter that went out to residents, to which there was a great response and support, voting for a change in the speed and traffic measures on Longhill Lane. Many quoted incidents that can be taken forward as evidence to East Cheshire Highways.
Residents are hoping to have the same support from Buerton PC and in fact Hankelow PC suggested a joint statement of support from the three parishes to the highways department.
