Audlem Theatre Company Seeking Director for Aladdin Pantomime!

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Director to lead our upcoming pantomime production of Aladdin, to be performed in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the helm of a community theatre show with a talented cast and crew.

About the Role: We are open to experienced Directors but also welcome those who are looking to make their directorial debut. If you've always wanted to direct a show, this could be the perfect chance to bring your vision to life in a supportive and creative environment.

Role Description:

• Creative Vision: You will be responsible for interpreting the script, developing the artistic concept, and bringing Aladdin to life on stage.
• Casting: Help with auditioning and casting the right talent to fill key roles.
• Rehearsals: Plan, organize, and lead rehearsals, ensuring the cast is prepared and confident in their roles.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the production team, including stage managers, choreographers, costume designers, and lighting/sound technicians to achieve a cohesive production.
• Problem Solving: Handle any artistic or logistical challenges that arise during the production process.
• Motivation: Keep the cast and crew motivated and ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

What We re Looking For:

• Someone with a passion for theatre and creativity.
• Prior directing experience is beneficial but not essential. A keen eye for detail and strong leadership skills are a must.
• A team player who can communicate well and work collaboratively with the cast and crew.
• Availability to commit to the rehearsal schedule and production dates.

Rehearsal Schedule:

• Audition & Enrollment Evening : Tuesday 24th Sept 18.30pm – 21.30pm
• Script Read through : Wednesday 2nd October
• Acting rehearsals : Every Wednesday evening
• Musical rehearsals : Every Sunday morning
• Show Week : Wednesday 29th January – Saturday 1st February

This is an excellent opportunity for a budding director to gain hands-on experience or for an experienced director to add another successful production to their portfolio.
