Packed village for Transport Festival

Audlem village centre, the playing field and the canal were packed today for the Audlem Transport Festival and Gathering of Historic Narrow Boats.

As so often this summer, after spells of sunshine, some torrential showers arrived driving many residents and visitors into the village's three pubs, the Mill Shop and other attractive under-cover locations.

More detailed reports will follow on what was a fabulous parade and spectacle seemingly enjoyed by many thousands.
