The huge success of last night was a real tonic in what had been a very up and down day for me.

The highs were the concert with gross ticket sales of £668.50, which equals an audience of 330 folks – best ever Choir show we have put on – gathered to hear wonderful singing in the magnificent setting of St James' Church.

Our sincere thanks to Helen and the PCC for allowing the use of their beautiful church for this concert. To Jenny and her Choirs for the wonderful night. To those on ADAS who helped me on the night.

A real WOW of a finish and afterwards the Lord Combermere was full of happy singers and listeners. We even managed somehow to give teas to all who needed one – after begging and borrowing cups and beakers from village places.

Then we had the highs of the new shops in the old COOP – a real Phoenix rising from the ashes – (the place was the Phoenix Pub years ago!)

Another good high was a combative game of football at Stoke for me and Charlie but tempered by a very low of my team Liverpool imploding.

Lows do make the highs all the sweeter though. Again a great day for Audlem and us in ADAS.
