On Tuesday 27th February The Lord Combemere hosted a charity pub quiz in aid of The Brooke, a charity that provides protection for the many working Donkeys, horses and mules around the world that are working in gruelling conditions and where welfare for them is often lacking. The evening raised an amazing £648 and this is due to the generosity of Jo and Allan, Ralph Warburton, the many local businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes so generously and all those who attended and participated in what was a fabulous evening.
I am aiming to raise at least £2000 for the Brooke Charity and I will also be running the London Marathon on April 22nd to raise funds for this amazing charity.
The link to donate is here.
In addition I also have had donated a team GB British cycling jersey which I will be auctioning soon. This is the same type as worn by the team during their four year run up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It is signed by Victoria Pendleton (who also lends her support to the Brooke charity). So if you want to own a piece of cycling history (provenance guaranteed) please click here – bidding started as from midnight last night.
All proceeds will go directly to the charity.
Thank you again for your support
