Overwater Wheelyboat Services

We are delighted to confirm that following relaxation ofthe pandemic restrictions, the Overwater Wheelyboat is now fully operational and will continue to provide tripson the Shropshire Union Canal throughout the 2022 summer sailing season.

Our wheelchair accessible Wheelyboat trips provide the opportunity for groups of people, particularly those with mobility issues, to get out into the heart of our wonderful countryside, escape the enforced isolation of recent months and enjoy new and exciting experiences.

We are based at the award-winning Overwater Marina near Audlem that offers a range of fully accessible facilities, including the Café At Bridge 80 for indoor or outdoor refreshments.

Our Wheelybus, which can carry up to 11 passengers or, up to 3 wheelchairs plus 3 seated passengers, is also available to transport any group having members with disabilities to local venues. This can be in order to attend specific functions, to access our Wheelyboat or other local activities, that will help reduce social isolation and provide opportunities for people to interact and socialise.

As with the Wheelyboat, we generally only operate on pre-booked weekdays but we will try to accommodate you at weekends if you are limited to those days.

WHEELYBOAT AND WHEELYBUS TRIP COSTS

There are no fixed charges for our Wheelyboat trips but donations that allow us to continue and to improve the services we provide, are always greatly appreciated.

The same applies to Wheelybus trips but, in view of the current fuel cost increases, donations from organizations or individuals using the service on a regular basis, generally reflect the mileage travelled.
