Following a festive hiatus, it's time to dust off your kazoo and get down to the Shroppie Fly!

Tuesday Night is Open Mic Night; an eclectic musical lottery showcasing the breadth of musical talent that South Cheshire has to offer.

In previous weeks we have had everything from folk and bluegrass to soul with artists such as The Folkwits, Alisdair MacKenzie, Ruby and The Resonator, Heidi Browne, Dave Nettleton, Jack Marshall and John Gunstone.

The night is completely informal and a chance to air a newly written song, play an instrument you received at Christmas and generally subject the public to your musical offerings.

As well as music, poets and comedians are welcome. The microphone is there for the taking.

Most important, of course, are the audience, so if you're stuck for something to do tonight, Open Mic will start around 8.30pm.

Get down early as it's also curry night. The Thai Red Prawn comes highly recommended...
