Celia Bloor writes: "Could we pool information about bus trips that work using our new passes? I personally would pay the half fare to get out of Audlem at a reasonable hour and then I would like to know where you can get to and back again sensibly.

"The new timetable has 4 buses leaving Nantwich for Audlem at 5 past the hour at 5,6,7 and 8 pm so getting back is not too much of a problem. Looks like places such as Macclesfield, Congleton, Chester, Liverpool and Hanley should be OK. To get to Shrewsbury you could either drive to Market Drayton (but where to park?) or perhaps link through Whitchurch.

"I have discovered there are buses from Chester to Barmouth (6 a day) and Chester to Aberystwyth (twice a week). I am not suggesting there and back in a day! Chester to Wrexham might be possible – they go every 10 minutes!

We used our passes while in Wales by nipping into Cheshire so we could board in Cheshire but how is the bus driver to ensure that you alight in Cheshire on return!"

If you have any useful tips on using the bus services, as suggested by Celia, contact the webteam and we will publish them.
