Problem on the A525

We are told that there has been an accident of some kind on the A525 Whitchurch Road where it crosses the River Weaver just outside Audlem.

We have no idea how serious it is, nor how long there might be problems getting past that point, but it is known that people have been held up in the last hour or so trying to come that way.

This bridge is a notorious accident black spot, suffering repeated damage to the bridge structure on many occasions. A "pinchpoint" has been suggested many times, so far to no effect.
