Powell's Pies

You may have already tasted our the new "hand raised" pork pies we have on the counter – we have sold out very quickly for the last few weeks!

They are made by Andrew & Marie Powell from Tushingham near Whitchurch. Andrew is from four generations of butchers and this traditional recipe has been handed down.

The family ethos was 'Never put anything in a pie that you wouldn't want to see on your plate'. This ethos still stands and the attention to detail shows in the taste!

The Audlem Burger

Over the last few weeks we have been trialling a new idea – using the recipe created by Annie Goodwin (winner of our 2014 sausage competition) we have created a burger!

It is pork based with cranberry, cheshire cheese (Joseph Heler) & chives.

We cooked some of these for the RNLI festival last Saturday evening and the feedback was enthusiastic to say the least! It is an extremely succulent burger that needs little or no embellishments – all the taste and texture is already in there!
