No reported Anti-Social Behaviour

I wrote in June 2014 that Audlem village had not suffered from any reported Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) involving children for 6 months. This was great news and I hoped it would continue throughout the year.

I can now confirm that from January 1st 2014 to February 28th 2015 no incidents have been reported to the police about children / teenagers acting in an anti-social manner that causes residents annoyance, alarm or distress.

Great credit has to go out to the children who live in the village and those that visit from other areas. Parents/guardians and the schools plus various clubs such as Cubs and Brownies also deserve a mention as I know that they are encouraging children to make the right decisions in life.

Considering 2014 was a good summer and that bonfire night and Halloween have been and gone, I think this makes it even more remarkable.

From a police point of view we will continue to engage with children of all ages giving advice and guidance when required.

Only yesterday I have been at the school holding a drop in surgery for all pupils who wanted a chat with the police – this helps to break down barriers and encourages children to view the police in a positive manner.

Will I be able to report later in the year with similar results? Let's hope so. Should you wish to report ASB please call 101. If you see a crime in progress always call 999.
