New Year poem from Jessie

January 2014

A happy new year to one and all.
Old or new , short or tall
This is my wish to you.
It's January – A new month
A new year.

We all know January
Is a very cold month.
So why not snuggle up close
To those we love -
Be bold – not cold!

These chilly nights
And bitter cold days
With snow, frost and icy blasts
Are bound to last -
For quite a while,
We know this to our cost.

So, with our scarves , hats and woolie gloves
To keep us warm
And keep out the cold
We'll set about our business
And come to no harm.

Just put our best foot forward, smile,
And carry on – as usual
