New Vote Poll

An interesting debate has broken out on the Chatbox over the last Vote Poll about the towpath to Nantwich. Proceedings started with allegations from 'Canal Cat' about unusual voting patterns which attracted a robust response from 'Fuddy Duddy'.

You can check out the exchange which makes references to elections elsewhere around the world. Click on Chatbox and you'll find the full exchange in the first two pages.

While the webteam has noticed an interesting shift in voting patterns in recent weeks, with virtually all recent votes going one way, there's no way we are going to raise doubts about any voter's integrity. This isn't Afghanistan – or, indeed, Florida! And, naturally, picking up a point by Fuddy Duddy, we don't plan a second EU Lisbon-style poll, as experienced recently in Ireland.

ToiletsWe have, however, changed the Vote Poll to ask a new question: "Should Audlem's public toilets be replaced?"

Some may believe the building, notable for its iconic 'Urinals' sign and uncompromising Sixties' architecture, should be listed and preserved for posterity. Others might advocate demolishing it immediately – "Is today too soon?" – so they can celebrate while standing on the rubble. Others may support a view that's not quite as extreme as either stance.

The vote is yours! There's four options to choose from. Click on the Vote Poll question on the Homepage, then on the dropdown option of your choice and then on 'Vote'.
