It was welcome news that Cheshire East's new chief executive Erika Wenzel has singled out the village in the Chronicle, saying "In the coming months I am hoping to visit areas such as Audlem and see if we can improve their services."

So that useful indications of council-run services can be passed to the chief executive, Audlem Online will be asking a number of Vote Poll questions over the coming months before Cheshire East takes over responsibility in April 2009. We start by asking: "Are you generally happy with refuse collection arrangements."

Recognising that any dissatisfaction could be down to a host of reasons that might vary from household to household, there is also a new Forum debate where more detailed responses can be posted.

In the previous Vote Poll asking: "Do you agree with building the proposed wind farm south east of Audlem?", 628 votes were cast. 32% voted "Yes"; 65% said "no" and 3% were Unsure.
