Audlem Online has started a new Vote Poll asking "Do you think council services will improve under Cheshire East?" You can vote now in a poll of local opinion that will give an idea of expectations of the new council which comes into being next week on 1st April, replacing Cheshire County Council and Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council.

In the future, once the new Council is well established, we will run another poll asking whether you have found services have improved. There's a new Forum topic on Cheshire East too so you can have your say on the new council and what you expect.

One area where it will be difficult for the new authority to do worse is roads. Our last Vote Poll asked: "Are Audlem's rural roads fit for purpose?" The total votes cast was 368. Of these just 51, or 14%, said "Yes" while 310, that's a massive 84%, said "No". 2% were unsure. This result was in marked contrast to the previous poll on refuse collection where there was a reasonable level of satisfaction. It seems that the new council has much to do on the roads front.

You can vote now by clicking Yes, No or Unsure and then clicking on Vote Now in the Vote Poll section on the homepage.
