The Public Hall Management Committee has voted to approve the expenditure of nearly £5000 on new sound equipment for the Hall.

The equipment includes loudspeakers, amplification rack, induction loop amplifier, 24 channel mixing desk, high quality microphones and a multicore system to link the whole thing together.

The equipment is being supplied and installed by Al Dean, of Larden Green Studios, a well-known local PA specialist, and should be ready in time for the 5A's Pantomime next January.

Although the most sophisticated use of the new system will be for the Pantomime and other full-stage productions, it will also be suitable for bingo sessions and similar events.

For those who understand these things, the specified equipment includes a 15-inch woofer and a 6.5-inch Bass driver with a 1-inch kapton tweeter.
